Construction begins on a state-of-the-art logistics warehouse in prime zone 1 of Aveiras de Cima, Azambuja, with DST as general contractor.
The Averrões Group marked the groundbreaking ceremony for Plot 8, a state-of-the-art logistics warehouse, integrated into the Industrial and Logistics Park AVETEL PARK, with 18,666 sqm of gross construction area, on a 79,120 sqm plot, located in the prime zone 1 of Portugal's logistics hub. The ceremony marked the physical start of construction, carried out by DST, the project's general contractor, and reinforces the park's masterplan in Aveiras de Cima, Azambuja.
Located just 3 minutes from the A1 motorway junction and approximately 50 km from Lisbon, Plot 8 benefits from AVETEL PARK's strategic position in prime zone 1 of the national logistics hub, the country's most sought-after area for premium logistics space. With a clear height of 14.32 metres and a three-storey office block, the warehouse has been designed to meet the requirements of logistics, industrial and e-commerce operators.
Construction is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
The ceremony was attended by Dr Joaquim Mota, Executive Director of the Averrões Group, and the DST team, represented by Ricardo Baleia, Commercial Director, and Pedro Pereira, Construction Manager.
